charging prob

hello
i have a
vauxhall omega 2.2
had a new battery today bosch uk100
and a new alternator bosch one 100amp
but when i put lights,heater,seast heaterson i can see the battery light slightly comes on?
had the alternator tested and it charging at 13.38 volts?
new belt as well
is there some thing else iam missing

Thats a little low  :(

Check the battery earthing strap, the crimps for the charging cables at both battery and alternator ends  :y
Its been known for the cable to become loose inside the crimp  ;)

Check to see if any of the crimps are getting warm while the engine is running.
Thats a sure fire sign that a crimp is knackerd  :)

Post back on here and tell us what you have found  :)

I think if all connections ok then alternator should be bigger-13.38v not a lot maybe you need 120amp not 100amp alternator IMO

The new battery should have come with instructions about it's state of charge. Quite often a new battery is only partially charged and needs to be fully charged ASAP.

Running around with the warning light showing is going to knacker the new battery :(

I suggest doing without heated seats until the car has done a few hundred miles of decent driving eg motorways or A roads (sitting in traffic doesn't count)

Sounds to me like you've got some resistance in the wires charging the battery. Check the security of the crimps where the large cables meet the battery terminals and check that they are not getting hot when running. Also check the chassis grounds connecting the battery negative terminal and engine block to chassis.
