I haven't seen a market swing like this.....
« on: 25 February 2013, 15:59:28 »

.....since 2008. Earlier in the day it looked like Bersani was going to win enough votes to form a coalition with Monti. The FTSE MIB was up over 3%. Now it's not so clear.....and down it goes, dragging the rest of Europe with it.
Fickin madness.

I mean, has it really come to this? World markets are moved by an election between a paedophile, a comedian, a communist and the original grey man? In a country that's totally corrupt?

We're doomed....doomed I tell you ;D

And now they're rising again. Someone, somewhere must have heard a rumour. On such things the financial world swings.

It's the Euro Exchange rate that bothers me. I run a small company and buy in Euros. My sales are long term with pricing fixed ages ago. Pound gets weaker, I lose cash. Before some smartie mentions it, No I can't buy "forward".

Few weeks ago interbank rate was up to around 1.25. Now hovering around 1.14. My prices were calculated at 1.18. I lose   >:(

Sorry to hear that, Rog. But I'm afraid volatility is the order of the day.

I can assure you that there is no corruption in Italian politics, Mr Steve. That nice Mr Berlusconi was very strict about such things. :)
