Did you use a genuine sensor?

First thing the ECU does when it detects cranking is to pull in the fuel pump relay, so I agree crank sensor is still in the frame.

Not sure if the ECU you got over the pond primes the fuel pump, but I believe the drive-by -wire cars here do. In that case you should hear the fuel pump run for a couple of seconds when the key is turned to position II. That will at least eliminate the fuel pump circuit from suspicion, and also prove that the ECU is getting power. (it has both switched and permanent 12v feeds, and a feed from the purple relay next to the fuel pump relay).

ok switched cranksensor and car starts right up.....now the problem is when i rev to 2000 rpms the engine cuts back as if not getting gas ,put a test light on fuse for fuel pump while doing this and when it reaches 2000 rpms the fuse loses power ,cant rev car or drive the car over 2000 rpms it cuts back.....check engine light comes on but goes off as soon as you let off gas

replacement crank sensor is made by BWD.... someone replace the original and this one looks like the one i took off, heres the problem car starts good, idle is normal but if you try to go over 2000 rpms the car loses power the fuel pump dies out only can drive at about 10 mph.... So i figure try another crank sensor...local store out of stock has to order one for me...so i put crank sensor back on car so i can check it with my friends code reader (while i wait for another cps)....re try this time the car starts and cuts off in 1 sec.... ??? well now i do have some codes stored but wont be able to read until the morning..but could it be the crank sensor still? or something else
