Sump Gasket

Going to take the sump off to clean out the pickup pipe so phoned vauxhall to get price and they quoted £45 because it comes with the baffle plate as well, is this the price for the gasket then. looked on ebay and saw some for £31 and gasket on its on for £12. Both stated for omega 2.0l 16v 94 plate.

I thought the oe part was a goo? Tube of instant gasket? No?

Sounds like they quoted you for the sump itself...?

This is what Vx are quoting for, I think:



Metal baffle plate with bonded-on rubber gasket either side round the edge.

Don't see how rubber gasket alone would work?

When I dropped the sump on our 2.0, I didn't know what to expect gasket-wise, so I bought this just in case.  Turned out the original was in good enough condition to re-use; so I did.

You can have this one for postage + a teeny bit if you want, it's only cluttering up my shed.  Check part number on packet vs what you've been quoted on, and PM if you want.  (Far as I can see from the pic, the last five digits of PN are 20632)
