UK stuffed again by the EU
« on: 02 March 2013, 22:37:12 »

What the PeaCock Cameron didn't tell us was that all EU countries have been promised extra money from the EU budget for rural development (subsidies for farmers) and structural development (more white elephant roads, airports etc), except you've guessed it, the UK and Poland. So if they are all getting more for a reduced budget, guess who will be getting less in money back from what they pay in. I think most of us can work this out! So this expensive corpse club our parasites politicians seem to like to cling to, has stuffed us again.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

That makes for sorry reading, Rods. :(

I despair, I really do.

Mind you, with one of two notable exceptions ( ;)), many on here appear to be supporting UKIP now and if the OOF reflects the mood of the country at large, we may just...but only just..be able to rid ourselves of the EU cancer before it's too late. ;)

I don't believe it does.  I think, in a small, (mostly!) friendly community like this, a few passionate and vocal members can influence people.  Certainly a quick poll I did in the office just before the Eastleigh polling day, UKIP didn't even feature.

Additionally, in periods of recession, opposition is easy. More so in this soundbite era, as you don't even need a coherent manifesto.

What does concern me with the current state of affairs is its not unfeasible that parties like BNP may get the popularist vote

This is why we are in the EU so that everyone else can benefit from what we pay in  , then we can sit back and be patted on the back for being a good egg while our country falls to bits . Thats the way i see it  :(

It is a bit more sinister than that. The reason the other EU is hammering the city is that if the UK loses this source of income with a £40bn balance of payments surplus and £63bn they pay in taxes our currency will collapse and the EU will have us exactly where they want us, another country totally controlled by them without a shot being fired.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

The last time a country which had a similar situation was Zimbabwe where there biggest industry and exporter was farming. The takeover by government officials of farms and their collapse was what cause the hyperinflation of their currency so it was worthless. They now use USD as their currency. When they have collapsed the banking industry in the UK, so the pound collapses, guess which currency the EU will then make us use?  >:( >:( >:( >:(

Still with banker bashing the UK's current favourate national sport, the useful fools, where the UK seems to have more than its fair share should make it easy for them.  >:( >:( >:( >:(
