It's time to say goodbye to the MV6, my 4th and last Omega 
It's just way too expensive to run. I pick up the replacement on Wednesday. I know a lot of you "hate" BMWs, but that's what I've decided makes most sense.

It's a 2008 520d se. 177.
The tax for a year is only £120. The insurance. Is £200 less than I currently pay for the Omega, in fact when I rang them today the girl said as i pay monthly they actually owe me money! A whole £1.24p  but at least that's me paid up til August.
The Omega around town was averaging 22mpg, the BMW supposedly returns 55.
So all in all it makes sense to me rather than pouring money into the ageing Omega, buy something that I hint looks good, will hold its money and makes financial sense.
So it's so long to a car I've loved and owned for approximately 10 years, on and off, and hello to this....

I suspect that is the combined. In fact, even that may be ambitious...  ...mind you, I don't give 2 hoots about MPG, and drive as such.

I agree that 55mpg is a tad optimistic!  I'd be aiming for more like 35mpg around town with a light foot.

Love the e60.  Hope you have HID's..... the Halogens are terrible.

Nice car but everybody around by were I live has one-they work at bmw My mig dead now so dont know what to get as load carrier All I do know is it wont be another mig-had 2 and most unreliable gm rubbish I ever owned TBH-when going well-really nice But when they play up=£sssss and lots of spitting and swearing to sort it out
So fair play to you-very well made cars those BMWs

55 is the combined figure, should do 40 MPG around town if driven sensibly, nice car I like it  .
