The gearbox in my 3ltr is losing fluid at quite a rate from the back of the torque converter is it worth doing the seal or just bin it and get another box

Has it been in and out of cars at all, or is it original?

I say this as the bush that the torque converter nose sits in can be damaged by incorrect removal of the gearbox. Check this and the TC nose for scoring when it's removed. If they are Ok the seal replacement is an easy job. Otherwise, it will just leak again.
