The microwave has imploded  Warmed up a drink and all the inside of the microwave fell inside the cup ..Now i need a new one . Anyone bought one recently ? And recommendations

Cheapy one from Tesco or Asda, but personally, sensible money spent on Panasonic, or if feeling flush, Bosch

Not me guv  Its done well and lasted 7 yrs with 2 of its years in the attic in storage  But it was a cheapo range from argos . I think its best to get a named brand one but they are not cheap , pay for the name so to speak

I got a Kenwood in curry's last month for £65. But we hardly use the microwave, so maybe a more expensive one needed for heavier use.

Ours is a Panasonic. About £70 from Comet before they imploded in much the same way as your microwave. Not exactly stellar build quality, but it works.

I agree, as I have had Panasonic's for a very long time now and everyone has lasted.  My current one is 13 years old now

got a kenwood one had it for years it gets abused but allways comes back fighting

We have a Samsung. Cost about fifty notes if memory serves. It's about five years old and it's performance has been 'uneventful', so far.

It depends what you want it do? micro +grill +oven?

If just micro.....just go buy the cheapest tesco's has to offer

Not when it still works like new Opti!  My life, I cannot spend when I don't have to!

  Not bad prices for brand names on that site , the one that broke was a manual jobbie with buttons "non digital" mite be time for an upgrade to elite spec
