After posting something very stupid on here last night I spoke to wifey not doggy he cant speak and in some ways i agree about H21 post ref people only posting in gendis after all I am one of them really, what i know about cars you could write on a postage stamp. The only thing i do have is a miggy but due to time and forever working on my house i use the good services if Daz anyway.
the only other talent besides being an idiot most of the time is the 30 more years i have within shopfitting interior refurb and latley building but then again when a post comes up for help you get swamped buy the diyers that know it all about cars so they think they know it all about building.
whats left act the fool and try and get a laugh in doing so more often than not i end up showing off and taking things to far.
When i first joined OOF it was like going down the pub with your mates, you could settle down in front of the PC with a beer or two and just endlessly laugh, of course there was the odd ruffling of feathers or the more dignified amongst us would tell the children of, but thats all it was.
Now reading through various posts its not hard to upset the apple cart, Nothing to do with Seth total respect to the man he stood up and told me what he thought and quite right too, i was totally out of line.
These so called problems with OOF in my opinion do not exsist obviously i am not privi to what admin must see and be reported on a daily basis but OOF is still a great place. But not so many characters that make it bounce post now .Bedside the continue change and increase in members must have an effect. Compare it to a school like a turn round in pupils. As mr Entwood said quite some time ago as Omegas are becoming cheaper they are more accecable to the masses or similar, he got some stick for it but i knew what he meant and i am stupid, more omega owners perhaps younger different age range etc
an incident did nearly divide OOF i think I for one although supporting ones side was totally disgusted far beyond any silly prank at how vindictive some people were and i do think since then some have stayed away well obviously 1 person did.
it does not matter what you do someone wont like it I seriously hope the plug is not pulled one day after all the hard work dedication and effort certain members and admin have put into all this but the family has grown and some of the kids have left home, things always change in a family.
I am not leaving just feel i have embarrassed myself and need to take a step back beside in all honesty i have far to much work i have to catch up with at home and i did once have a very serious management job which i am now trying to get back belive it or not.
perhaps the H21 post is a wake up call for people to start looking at what they are posting after all it is the admins that invaribly have to deal with it all, just imagine that for one minute.
still going to kent meet and hopefully newent to see all your happy wrinkly faces, wifeys with me there so i have to behave or punishment can be swift
read the signs and take a look sometime at what you write and see how you come accross you may suprise yourself and get admins point or fellow members point.
so sincere apologies to those i may have offended..lessons learnt
