Looks interesting. Appearance reminded me of the PW-5 Smyk
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politechnika_Warszawska_PW-5 which I tried out when a demonstrator toured here when it was first launched. Similar wingspan but much lighter. I can see it behaves similarly on the winch (well, car, in this case!) launch due to the tail boom pitching it sharply nose-up as soon as it starts accelerating.
The glide performance is pretty poor in comparison, thanks to the lightness. On the other hand, that would allow it to stay aloft in much weaker lift, and looking at the low speed turns it was doing in that video, I reckon it would be a hoot in the UK's weak thermals and outclimb most gliders (but not stand a chance of keeping up with them across country).
It's also clearly a lot easier on the back to rig and de-rig than my glider (empty weight 246kg), which would be most welcome.
Not sure I like the idea of a foot landing. I wouldn't want to subject my legs to some of the landings I've made.
Aerotows are getting a bit pricey these days due to the cost of fuel, so a self-launching option would be great, if only Hampshire had a few more mountains for me to jump off. Not sure Butser hill would do it, somehow.
I wonder how much it costs?
