Great! Learning to fly is on my bucket list!!  :y Best get on with it then..  ;D

Think I'd get dizzy gliding though, as it seems there's a lot of going round in circles....  :-\  :)

I did a gliding course when I was young, about the same time I also spent some time flying small aircraft.  Gliding won hands down :y

Absolutely agreed. :y Powered aircraft are noisy, smelly and, IMHO, once you can take off, land and point it in the right direction to get where you're going, it's hard to see where you go to develop your skills further, unless you've got a bottomless pit of money. I prefer life on the other end of the tow rope where every day's flying challenges you in different ways.  ;)
