It's a miggy so it's the usual things cam belt, cam covers, etc,etc. I'm sure people who know better than me will be along to tell you more and of course, as is par, that there are two cylinders missing  ;D but I know better  ::)

My experience would point me at the head gasket as desmonds seem to be more prone. Usually OK if the antifreeze has been kept good though.

The Auto box is another as the 3rd gear solenoid can go. Also when was the fluid and filter changed.

HTH
Phil

I had this on my last 2.2 despite a fsh....... ::) ::)

Would agree do it all at once HG, belt, pump, EGR, throttle,stat, cam sensor/cover gasket, stat, box fluid & filter/gaskets, plugs oil & filte, both manifold gaskets +. At a guess £500-£600 should cover it if you are doing the work

It's just a list of what could be done seeing as the thing will be in bit's for the HG. Might as well sort of thing.
It's almost what I did to mine when my HG failed, wont have to worry about mine for three years now  :y apart from all the other suff that can go. Car's gotta love em  ::)

Unfortunately times are hard, Mr EMD........ and this means you end up in an area called 'compromise' :-\

It's the same with any car, stay below 4 or even 5 figures and you 'compromise'........spend 1.2 million and you don't have to.

Check your lottery ticket carefully this week, and everything could change. :y :y :y
