 I only really notice this when turning left into my road. Anyway when I turn left with the brake applied I get a grinding noise which is more noticble with the brake applied than when it isnt. I think this is the right hand side wheel bearing. Brake pads seem ok.
Any advice please.

Strange .. applying a brake usually STOPS a wheel bearing grumbling as it gets clamped more tightly and cant "wobble" .. but if the bearing is shot completely .....

To check bearings jack the wheel up and spin it manually listening for any graunchy noises .. then hold it at 9 & 3 and feel for any rocking movement.

Front bearings are easy to change as the whole hub comes as a unit. IME don't buy cheap ones ... I did and it cost me long term as they only lasted 4000 miles. VX ones are expensive but last a LOT longer !!

the 12 and 6 and 9 and 3 as entwood suggests will prob tell you more. if you find play then hold on to components while buddy rocks the wheel to locate the noise.

pad might look meaty, but it may be deteriorating where it actually meets the disc...?

I always just jack up one side and welly it in third... probably only a matter of time before I end up parked 20 yards from where I started but hey ho...

Pop the wheels off and have a good rummage

If you're along to the Wycombe meet, someone should be able to shed some light on it
