Omega Elite 1998
« on: 07 May 2013, 19:24:14 »

Hi, I have recently bought an 3L V6 Omega Elite Estate 1998 87 000 miles on the clock.  I am new to all this and have some things I need to sort out on it.   It is a first for me. :o  Normally I would just get the hubby to sort this, but he is working abroad right now so it is up to me to get my hands dirty so to speak. ;)

a list of the problems:

Need an owners manual
Horn not working
dead pixels on digital dash display (have found links on how to fix this) so will give it a try.
Driver seat back heating , but not the bottom of the seat.

Any pointers on what to do.  I do not even know where the fuse box is :-[

Many thanks

the horns are under front valence infront of passenger front wheel prob wire off,if its the pixcals in small display to the left of main instuments that can be changed ,not difficult,as to the seat changing whole seat is faster than pulling it apart to change pads,my drivers stopped working im going to live with it.others here will come along with more tech advice and spare s no doubt but well done for getting stuck in hubby should be proud, militery by eny chance
some one on here will have a spare manuel :y

Hi dolphintat.

Horn - usually wires corroded near horn, if you're really lucky, a fuse.
Seat heating - leather or cloth seats?
Pixels - unusual on a 1998 model. Unless its a 97 model, where its far more common.

I had a bucketload of MIDs and CART displays, but doubt they have survived.

Dolphintat - post up the last letter (not number) of your VIN, we will know what display it needs then :)
