New lead arrived this morning.
Plugged it into all 3 laptops and the driver updated from windows update immediately 

Plugged one of the laptops into the car and started to update the stag ecu firmware with no problems 

Now I've got a few weird readings on the petrol live data side.

With the engine off and the ignition switch in position 2, the rpm is bouncing around between 1200 and 2000 rpm.
Start the engine and let it idle at around 600 rpm and the revs are reading 3000 rpm 

Had a look at the settings and can't see which ones to change 
Syncro version is 9.1.0.0.

Has anybody got a settings cheat sheet I can have a look at please

sounds like you have the coil type wrong, just go into it should be a drop down box and select each one till you get correct readings, dont matter what type as long as revs right to engine, had this prob myself and enquired to a lpg installer who also a electrician

I'll have a look at that later 
Am I right in thinking that the 3.2 should be set up as 6 coils ?
Is they a wasted spark on the 2.6 / 3.2 like the 3 ltr coil pack or is each pot individually sparked ?

Or am I talking 'dangle berries' again

best thing to take the reading off for the pickup is the cam sensor lead, coil packs shut down when you loose off throttle, this can cause set up problems, iirr it same as my 2.6 and it is a classed as a 2 coil system

I would take the signal from the tacho output of the ECU - pin number as described in the LPG fitting maintenance guides here: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90636.0.

Any other signal is going to be too noisy and this is a proven solution.

If that connection has been made, check the LPG ECU is configured with a 2.5 Volt threshold and 6 cylinders for the RPM signal.

If still no joy, check that the LPG ECU has a decent ground connection, as it could be that a poor ground is causing the RPM detector to trigger erroneously. Failing that, check the connection is correctly made to the pin on the ECU plug and that there is continuity.

I al;ways take the LPG system ground back to the battery negative terminal.
