Manchester Thuggery

Just watched BBC news video of the police officers whom were attacked on Wednesday by a thuggish footie-mob......`absolutely sickening behaviour; and a reminder of just how surprisingly-close anarchy is to our daily lives.  :o

This country has gone soft with these morons. I like football as a game but cannot understand, nor want to, the tribalism that is seemingly involved by a section of the support. A shame also that the attempts made by the council to accomodate these "fans" was thrown back in their faces. I am sure they did not deliberately make the equipment fail.
As a result the taxpayer will pick up the bill no doubt. I think we should adopt alot of ex eastern block tactics to deal with these matters. May make them think twice, although once would be amazing, before acting in this manner

I was disgusted at what i saw. I really hope they see the footage & they're totally ashamed. If the police don't know who they are (i hope they do) they should walk into a police station & give them selves up, but like the guttless, spineless, ball less scum that they are they won't.
I like they way that they waited for the officer to fall before they all pounched on him while he was alone. My Dad used to say "anyone can be big when they've back up, but get them alone & they're siht heaps"
Never a true word spoken.

Rangers have 50000 every week and no problems or arrests. Similarly we take 10000+ when we go into Europe - again theres no tyrouble.

These guyes were just neds and not real football fans.

Theres outrage up here and among the real Rangers supporters, myself included, so much so we have a name and shame campaign within our own clubs and forums...And its working  :y We are pretty good at self policing - although i do admit its re active  :-/

Theres a few suggestions being worked upon including making a donation to the Police Benevolent Fund etc as a token of our digust and support to the Police.

Trust me - whatever you guys feel at this - we feel worse as we have the added stigma of being "part of the group involved" and we are deeply embarassed  :-[ >:(
