Modding

Hi Chaps.
Noticed some of you have twin exiting exhaust pipes. Are they standard to your models or an aftermarket upgrade?

Hmmm a touchy subject for me presently !

on 3litres twins are standard, on anything less its single tailpipe. So probably aftermarket if you see a 2.5/ 2.2 / 2.0 with twins

Touchy for me why....well the money is sitting here but can i get anyone to supply a decent aftermarket stainless twin....hell no  :(

the 3 litre models have twin pipes (on the same side of the car, from a single silencer) as standard.

However, irmscher sell an after-market upgrade which consists of two seperate tailpipes - one on each side of the car - and a bumper cut to fit. There are a couple of guys on here who have this - Kev being one of them. As shown in the pic below (hope you don't mind Kev!!)

they do look good !!!

us mere mortals have to make with the standard 3.0 backbox, can be seen (just about) below ... you can also see why the bumper has to be changed when fitting the twin exit setup!

Does it have to be stainless steel? This Irmscher jobbie looks pretty good to me

Not sure whether the price is good, though.

Hi Markiec,
have you thought on having a system made specifically for the car? I know there's a stainless steel exhaust fabricators in Hillington, could find out their name for you if you want? There's also one in Preswick that used to have a good reputation, think it may have slipped a bit as I've heard of a few problems there tho.

Cheers Jim

Evening all.
Thanks for the help, i guess aftermarket will have to do or may be even a 3.0litre omega!!!!!!!
I've been on the web today lookin for a company thats normally advertising in the usual car mags but with no luck.
I did find a well sexy body kit at Delta styling though, i think it suits the Omega's size especially when you bolt on the Shogun spoiler.
Any thoughts ??.

Checked that kit out looks good, there is a post with a czech car with the same kit, I would'nt get away with it being that low though, not with all the speed humps in london 8-)

Depends on how low they dropped it. That one does seem abit lower than the normal drop.
I dropped my last one 30mm, it handled alot better with gas shockers added and didnt rip the exhaust off when mounting the local twocker ramps.
Shame the boy racer in a Seat wiped it out, it was just starting to come on well.
