I had my 6 month review yesterday.
It went well, seems I'm number 3 on the shit list, as in I'm the 3rd person to call in the event of a major balls up & thats before they call hit the panic button so to speak, So I must be impressing some one. The only area my guvnor had any worries over I don't do much work on the software side of stuff. so I asked him "when do I get time?"
Any way... why I'm I going to hit him ypu ask ?
He's a nice chap, firendly, and looks after his people well
Well he's asked me to...
Some bright spark (me) started doing a little sparing in the compnay gym with a couple of the lads, which moved onto Fencing, staff, and other big pointy stuff and generaly kicking 7 shades from each other.
But alast the boss found out, and amazingly rather than go nuts says
"Top idea, beats the hell out of 5 a side, see you saturday lads
"
after people found out about this, it's gone from 4 of us to over 20 people wanting a go... in just 4 days...
The poor guy is going to black and blue.
But back to the review, the last question he asked
"It's says on your HR notes that you worked security in Eastern Europe before working for us, that was just like guarding work wasn't it? I don't want any one getting hurt tomorrow..."
I think today will be a good day
