I have fitted some facelift Elite seats into my 53 plate CDX and followed the "how to" regarding the wiring on the driver's seat, what a God-Send. The was no warning lights on the dash. I then connected  the passenger seat and numerous fault codes appeared along with the airbag warning light. After clearing the codes I'm left with" unknown code 00092" and the airbag light. Any ideas?

Random use of Google indicates that code 92 relates to 'passenger seat detection'. All the links I found were for GM cars other than the Omega but I see no reason for GM to change the codes between cars

You should really go back to the vendor of your code reader and ask them to update their labels (assuming the software is legitimate of course.........)

Probably the ECU expects an occupancy sensor (I believe always an optional extra, but very common on 2002/2003 Elites), and your replacement seats lack this.

You need to disconnect the oblong yellow connector then have the light re-set

Or,your new seats have an occupancy sensor and you have plugged it into your loom (yellow plug iirc) and your ECU wasn't expecting it,as was the case when I changed my seats. If so simply unplug it again,or change the ecu for one compatible with occupancy sensor.
Short version - did your old seats have a yellow plug but the new ones don't,or is it the other way round ?

IIRC all facelift passenger seats (possibly not on GLS) had the connector underneath for the child seat sensor but only the Elites utilised it as standard

 I think it may be that all f/l looms had the yellow plug but not all seats had the plug/sensor.Thats how I remember mine.

Thanks people, I was wondering that the oblong yellow plug was taped up with the original seats fitted and thought that it seemed that on the new seat I had an empty orifice and a plug that fitted I'd plug it in.
Having a pacemaker fitted tomorrow so won't be able to try out for a couple of weeks but will let you know result of removing the plug.
