AR 35 Trans Filter cost. WTF?????

Went to my local stealer today to be told a new one would be £71 ish???? how did this happen? what are GM thinking? :o

Is this the filter in the sump? If so I think I paid about £20 from (scratches head) Oh yes JPAT. :y

Yeah for that price I will be washing it out! Just don't understand their pricing policy with stuff :-\

Exactly. Save the money, and wash the old one out. There will be nout in it anyway, unless there's a problem with the box, in which case you won't need the filter anyway, you'll need a new box.  ... Or maybe just a thrust washer.

The filtering of smaller particles is done by the magnet in the sump anyway. ;)

That's a lot of anyways isn't it . ;D

Zummerzet I believe. A said though,just wash it out with paraffin.Jobs a goodun.

  I  have replaced one on a 160k AR35  & got it from JPAT. But . . .   I would not bother again as after washing out it came up good as new . Fluid change is the important thing on a high mileage box IMO ;)

Just done oil change on mine. Gaskets £18.00 delivered,nxt day from jpat,filter was £17.20+ vat all from jpat use the linky thingy in the parts section to get the discount. :y
