Wheel and tyres sizes help please

hi to all,need bit of advice and spent ages looking through old posts and still confused.
i have a f/l 2001 2.6 mv6  and at moment i have 235/45/17's on they are zr17 xl tyres but struggling to find a couple at reasnoble price. so other option is i know on fleabay there are a set of 225/55/16 omega 5 stud alloys up for sale so can someone advise me please?
or is any member out there with some alloys/tyres must be really good nick tho,

Avoid the Autoshit ones, for the sake of a fiver it's just not worth it :y

Have a set of 5 early MV6 wheels here, 1 tyre unused, 2 half worn and two toast. Refurbished last September :y

How is buying another set of wheels with secondhand tyres going to be cheaper than just buying new?
If you're not too bothered about brand, then new 235/45 17are easily available from £60ish per tyre.

looking at both options my wheels aint that good but need 2 new tyres aint got spare either so options open.
looking at kumho ku39 xl prices are around £82 each thanks

..... and tell your insurance that you've backward spec'd your car by fitting smaller wheels & tyres ;)  ;)

problem resolved,opted to buy online blackcircles 2 x kumho ku39 fitted for £193 and get tesco points which will keep wife happy but thanks to all for your help :y

Great tyres  :y

Got a full set on the 2.2 LPG, very quiet, good grip, no tramlining, wearing well.

Worth hunting for ones from here, I got 4 KU39's with 6mm tread, on unmarked CDX alloys for £100. £25 a corner, bargin!

will be needing x4 235/45/17 myself pretty soon, Was planning on getting the Runways on blackcircles but they don't seem to do them any more  :'( Might try local ATS or similar when the time comes.

235/45/17 Not a bad price £96.84 each (including fitting) either, Will have to do some shopping around.
