selt belt
« on: 02 June 2013, 20:34:50 »

Just picked up a omega 2.2 estate and the seat belt in the back the middle is bust. I have spent all day getting to the belt housing in the back of seat only to find a cable attached to the side. Is this some kind of pretensioner and if so how do i remove.

The cable is something to do with not allowing the belt to reel out when the seat isn't up right & the catch (to tip the seat forward) isn't fully retracted. I had problems with an Astra estate I had with a similar problem.
First thing iis to make sure the catch/button on the seat back is coming back up fully when the seat is upright ....... I never completely resolved my seat problem.  :-\

It's up to you, but you can in theory, and totally not recommended (because I don't wish to encourage someone daft to try ::)) disconnect said mechanism  :y

Hopefully the guide will give you enough to go on, but have sent you my number should you need it :y
