I managed to find a spare couple of hours to go down a cheer the competitors on - I do try to get to all the local town events.













Many didn't stop in time, ploughing into the boxes


And those with extreme tracking issues needed a helping hand

You may well be right, remember as kids, 4 pram wheels and a couple of bits of wood, a bottle crate (wood) a bit of rope and some nuts and bolts / screws / nails, hours of fun and we lived......

yep-sort of rights of passage-wasnt it-to make a kart grazes were like medals of honour-now kids just sit playin games/phone all day

A lot of effort gone into that too from everyone involved by the looks of it

Yeah, good to see the under 15s category had a good turnout, and girls as well as boys. And, more important, I suspect many helped make their karts, which has to be a better life skill than Xbox and arsebook

One of our own racing celebs - Barrie Williams - was on hand to rag a proper Mini - and a Cooper at that I think - up and down the High Street, with plenty of handbrake control .
