The correct oil is pag150,the omega drier/receiver is mounted on the condenser(large container at side),and dosnt need changing, the oil would be added by the dalek, when its regassed,as for the valve i dont know.

I wonder why all the AC companies recommend this. :-\ :-\ :-\

Having researched swapping the AC compressor, the following points arise, upon which I would welcome any expert advice.

1. It is recommended that the system requires changing the receiver drier (where is this?)  and expansion valve (and this?) and flushing the system before regassing.

2. The compressor must be filled with the correct amount of the correct oil. I find 2 types listed, PAG100 and PAG150, and 250ml listed here http://www.compressortech.co.uk/downloads/Klitech_Wall_chart_04.pdf

 :-\ :-\ :-\
Look at the rad you had from me Chris, drier is the cylindrical gubbins attached to it.
Access to valve is a PITA, Glove box and fan assembly out and you will see it. Securing bolt is a bitch to get to though.

Thanks Rob. I wonder why this needs changing? :-\ :-\ :-\

Advise from somebody that has done many an omega a/c - first, buy a new compressor from either trade club, euro car parts or somebody like aircool, any s/h one
will be at least as old as yours...........
When you are at it replace your condensor which if supplied by aircool will come with a new reciever dyer - it will also be the same age as your car and if you get 10yrs you are on borrowed time as they become brittle and leak -£75 from aircool.
Pag 150 is the correct fluid . No need to replace any valves except the high and low pressure fill valve which are less than £6 from Andyc and will also be past there best.

It's a shame you're not closer, I still have the original OE compressor from my car knocking about my garage ..... you could have had it to practice on  ;)

If that isn't enough, 2woody must have a pile of them, considering how fond he is of the "airconectomy". ;)
