Facet joint injections
« on: 19 June 2013, 19:17:18 »

I go in for facet joint injections at 08:15 in the morning, I hope the buggers do some good this time, as the next on the list is to burn out the pain receptors in my lumbar and cervical spine :(
Still, it will get me off washing up duties for a bit! ;D

I really do feel for you, Phil, and the rest of you who are in pain. I guess I've been lucky....so far.

Thanks to everyone who wished me well for today, but unfortunately when I arrived at the hospital it was to find that the procedure has been put on hold pending further investigation of my right hip joint and lower lumbar vertebrae as there were some contra-indications and practically no reflexes from my leg  :-\
I was pulled about a fair bit (more than I was expecting) and i'm embarrased to say I cried with the pain (I know, I need to man up & get a grip ;D)
Anyway, the upshot is, I need another MRI scan & it will be around 6 weeks before they try again.
The main thing i'm worried about is swmbo has already heavily hinted that physio in the form of washing up & vacuuming is back on the cards   ::)
In the great scheme of things, i've bugger all to drip about when you remember that there are others fighting far greater personal battles with their health :-[
