adaptions mean just that, they adapt, to your driving style or whatever.

I doubt its something that can be fiddled with...?

There shouldn't be any need to touch anything in the ECU following a rebuild.

You can reset block learning and, on some ECUs, idle valve learning but I'm not even sure if that would be relevant to a drive-by-wire engine. In any case, these are only required for diagnostic purposes in specific circumstances and not following a cam belt failure.

Please let us know what symptoms you have which might indicate a problem (you say it starts - does it drive ok? any trouble codes in the engine ECU?) and we'll do our best to help.

If it does need doing I wouldn't want to do it using a Chinese O---m device either.Way too risky imo.  ;)

"Throttle adaptation" is term I have seen used on VW forums. I don't think it has any relevance to Vauxhalls.

If the software is using the term "throttle adaptation" then it does tend to reinforce concerns that the software isn't fit for purpose :-\

Most likely cause is damage to the wiring or throttle body while the engine was out (or maybe someone forgot to plug the connector into the throttle body ::) you wouldn't be the first..........)

Hi
its probably a stupid suggestion - but have you by any chance used wrong connector!!! had same trouble when was assembling my engine long time ago and  PFL omegas with square plugs use same plug on Camshaft positioning and throttle positioning sensors. ECU would not always store CPS error but would not run above 4000rpm.
