advice needed please
« on: 27 June 2013, 18:51:24 »

so, had a few wee problems with my miggy and now another one although showed its face earlier.
today it wouldn't start it took a couple minutes it did turn over but not fire into life, when it did it was a bit groggy, which it has been for a while, anyway done the pedal check for codes today and the one that i had been getting for some time now was 0330 this didn't come up instead i got 0300 and 0305 which i believe is multiple misfire detected and no 5 showing fault. so can i ask where i go next please?
thanks :'(

I'd start by popping the coil pack out on the 1-3-5 bank and look for oil down the plugs  :)  :y

Agreed, if not oil, look for water (from leaky scuttle) as code 0305 is for back plug  ;)

So i took off dis pack 1-3-5 and rubbers fell off ,one has nick in bottom rubber but wells seem dry etc.so but back being careful how doing and now after short run no faults, it did pop a few times when standing revving up to 6k and when revs dying back down but that seemed to clear so will try again tomorrow and see if still same, thanks so far let you know if still ok then which i hope is the case  :y

Also check condition of coil pack for signs of rusting, cracking on the plastic insulation etc. :y

so today took dis pack off again don't know if rubber tube part meant to come off but one did and has small tear but again after checking all wells put it back not sure what i done but seems to have done the trick,i attached battery again and checked for faults just a continuous blink in 10's so assume fault free. had a drive of about 20 miles this morning and rechecked faults still none showing so could it be just rubber not aligned? i hope so anyway hope it stays in right place. cat still runs a bit sluggish and is slower on uptake than used to be so now to hopefully fathom that out so again any feedback is much appreciated :y
