The Mig is only my second Vx, it's predecessor being a C reg 1.6L Mk 1 Astra. I think that I paid £300 for in 1998 and ran about in it for about 6 months before trading it in for a 2ltr Sierra.  ::)  So no comparison really!  ;)
C reg was a mk 2 wasn't it?
think your right there ;)

It was this one, in the same sexy two tone brown and beige!!

Yes thinking about it, it was older than C reg and fairly battered.  ::)

'Y' reg.....same as my 1300S Mk1 Astra estate........so 1982/83 :y

Have only had Vectra Cs and Omegas from Vauxhall, mostly Ford before ::)

Vectras were fine, if nothing special with the 1.8 petrol lump, but the one diesel was a pile of monkey poo :-\

Would have to say my '54 Omega, as it takes everything thrown (and driven) at it without blinking. And with a mere 250k under it, it is barely working run in ;D

To be perfectly honest I have never had a bad one. They where all bought for a purpose and fitted that purpose. All have been desperately reliable resulting in me not having breakdown cover since March 1999.

I have never felt the need to go elsewhere except for once having a Volvo. That to was utterly reliable.

It could of course be down to how I drive and how I look after our cars  :y

MK3 Cav 2000 GSI, 150bhp from memory, went and handled well, didn't last long though, about 3 months before it gave up the ghost on the M1, was a ex Managers hand me down as a company car.

Must admit I do become attached to the 1.4 Tigra LPG run around when Im filling up at Morrisons.

tough question!! got to be the plethora of senny 24v i owned plus the carlton Gsi,s even blowing them up on track days it was less than a days work to put the next engine in,
damn good second place was my first miggy estate tdM746 fdf, hated it when i picked it up,thought hang on these are supposed to be brilliant?
however with a few tweaks ::)I ended up owning it for over 6years, bought on ebay for 600,put another 87thou on top of the 79 it had done when i bought it,sold it here in spain to an english guy who owned a jag,he preffered the mig estate gave me 700 for it,as far as i know he still has it and drives it around marbella!! damn good car for towing or getting your foot down, funniest thing was taking it around track on a track day for a laugh, it didnt do to badly!!

But G's creation was something special, a pre-facelift 2.0 badged GLS Omega, rust and all.

It had the 3.6 Lotus Carlton Engine and running gear underneath though  :D

Non Omega, I guess it would have to be my old Astra GTE. Bit of a girls car though.

Best Vauxhall by far would be my trusty Silver Bullet, the first Omega I ever owned, and that I still have after nearly 10yrs, despite buying purely for a trip to France...
