Emmissions and engine temp ?
« on: 01 July 2013, 18:23:04 »

2.2 has failed on slightly high C02, still having fun stopping the fan running all the time so wondered if the fan being on would effect the emissions at all?

is the fan faulty, or is the car running hot ?

if the fan is faulty or if it is running purely because you've got the aircon switched on, then the engine could be too cold, which will make the emissions worse

if the engine is hot enough to enable the fan, then yes, the emissions will be compromised

but to answer your question directly as you asked it, not running a little hot should make the emissions better

Sorry , the fan runs from cold without the air con on despite changing the relays,  getting a slightly high c02 level
