I had  a similar experience with my previous Omega.rear quarter(wing) hit by a lorry. Got it fixed by a good body repair man.
To replace that panel is a major job.

The panel should be available from Vauxhall.

Depends where its creased or moved any interior supports or panels, but a good old fashion Panel Beater that knows what He's doing can normally work wonders.

As Mr B has asked:

Saloon: PFL
Start of Production > Chassis No T1? with 85mm Fuel Filler Neck Tube £339.79 + VAT (3 available)
T1? Chassis > X1999999 with 130mm Fuel Filler Neck Tube £339.79 + VAT (8 available)

Saloon:
PF
Chassis No Y1000001 > EOP £260.48 + VAT (17 available)

Estate: PFL
SOP > Chassis no X1999999 £114.30 + VAT (3 Available)

Estate: FL
Chassis No Y1000001 > EOP £307.34 + VAT (1 Available)

When i say available thats only from Opel and thats all the stock in Europe so i would think that once they are gone that will be it unless you can find any pattern panels

Cheers
Andy

Cheapest way would be go to a scrap yard with a disc cutter and cut the panel out. :)

Write to BUS COMPANY asking to see a copy of any contract you have with them with your signature authorising any such action ...  (obviously none exists :) ) then point out that they are legally required to return your vehicle to the state it was in, one second before the negligence of their employee damaged it. Point out that you will take action in the County Court to protect your rights should they insist on circumventing the law. Your claim is against the BUS COMPANY NOT the Insurers, they have been appointed by the Bus Company but have no contract with you. If you wish to copy the letter to the Insurers it may speed things up.

Do NOT sit back and take it.... :(

I think you need to take it to your favourite repairer and get a quote to fix it, so you have a figure to chase them for as well. :y

That panel is spot welded in and is structural to the shell. Unlike the front winds which are just bolted on.

Biiig job. But doable. Think Robsey on here did one? Estate maybe.

Cheaper to repair if at all possible.

Or cut one out of a breaker and grind the spots back.
