Recommended 3.2 Radiator supplier?
« on: 13 July 2013, 09:42:30 »

As I now have the rad out as part of my AC compressor and condenser swap, and as the rad has some bashed in fins, and is 12 years old, I shall replace it to save more work later. Can anyone recommend a good quality pattern supplier for these?

TIA :y :y :y

Not used their Omega ones, but I got one for the little Rover from there, looked good enough quality.

Can't comment on longevity, as that car has long gone to make Beanz tins

I have had two Omega radiators from them - quick delivery, good quality, and no subsequent issues :y

Late to this as been away .... make sure you get the right one !!!! When I had my problems with radiator they insisted that they knew which one I needed .. BUT THEY WERE WRONG !!! - as were several other places .. :(

You need the radiator with the mounting points for the external ATF cooler .. they might try and tell you the ATF cooler is internal ...also, the top "lip" is different and that is, in part, how the ATF cooler is located.

Due to severe time constraints I got one from VX .. expensive but it fitted perfectly

Thanks to Entwood I checked with Car Cool today and the rad they were going to send me had an integral oil cooler. Clearly I don't want this as I have a separate ATF cooler to fit on the front of the rad. Looking at other pattern suppliers, ECP, and CarParts4Less and another who want £364, they all seem to do the same type with in-built ATF cooler. VX is £234 +VAT so I would be grateful if someone knows of a supplier who supply the correct type.  :y :y :y

Just spoken with CAF, and they can supply a Hella for £105.99 +VAT without the integral cooler. Any experience of Hella rads? :-\
