Drop a 2.2 in and transfer the 2.0 ancillaries (sensors, camcover etc)

Thanks Rob - Will the 2.2 run okay with all my original 2.0 ancillaries, ECU on board computer etc ?

Four pot engine not that hard to remove. As said, label things, but also take pics which you can refer to if you get stuck.
Probably easier to lift the engine/box out together imo. :y

Finally a bit of good luck, I have found a low mileage (68,000) 2.0 litre engine out of a rear end write off Omega with exactly the same running gear as mine, same W reg as well, so this one will fit  :y here's hoping eh.. it should be here in the next few days, I'll update once it arrives....

Thanks again to everyone who offered me their help and advice..

Terry

below is the link to the site I used to source the engine, it might just help somebody else in the future...

Happy days peeps, I now have my Omega back on the road, the new 68,000 mile engine went in last Friday (took a while), but she runs perfectly, quiet, smooth and back to running as an Omega should...

May I just say a massive thank you to anybody who offered me help/advice regarding my lovely reliable car, and I do mean reliable, she didn't pack up, I took the decision to fit another engine because the original one was struggling to pass the emissions test every year, so all now good...

Thanks again peeps

Terry.. :)
