PAS on its way?
« on: 17 July 2013, 20:13:07 »

As if the Tesco incident was not bad enough, noticed 2 puddles of oil forming under the car, with lots plastered over rear of engine and g/box.  First though was g/box leak then realised it was clear fluid, with bonnet up and engine running it is obvious to me anyway :'( that it looks as if the PAS pump is on its way/gone its way.  If you look at the bolt holding the pulley it is oscillating not to much at moment but not as it should be.  So it looks as if it is going to need changing.  Have also noticed over last week or so at low speeds it is sluggish.

1/ is it difficult on 2.0L
2/ are all the pumps the same, from pre face to face lift.
3/ price wise what's a ball park figure.
