If you must be rid of the Omega but wish to stay with rear wheel drive what about a Jaguar XJ?Not talking of the latest model,but the ones before it can be had for very reasonable money these days.X300 last of the straight 6 engines,X308 first of the V8s or X350 V6,V8 petrols or V6 Diesel and aluminium bodies to boot.
