Y188NFA 2.2 petrol manual

I find it difficult to engage gear especially first thing in the morning. I have bled the clutch, seems to free OK, gearchanging is easy enough. This is something I have not met before on Senators or Omegas. Any suggestions?

Mine has almost always done that when cold. Once it's warmed up a touch it is fine :y

What mileage is that at? I put mine down to abusewear

A good synthetic oil is the answer, really changes the feel of the box

That certainly works on the very similar BMW gearboxes.
New, synthetic oil gives them an almost acceptable shift quality.

85213. I suppose the oil could be low, so in the morning first thing the linkage is dry. Once it has splashed about a bit things improve.

I find it only affects first and reverse, hence thinking it's a wear issue rather than specifically an oil one :-\

Synchro rings sticking together if the car is left in gear on a slope perhaps :-\ doubt it's a linkage problem tbh

my old cdx did in excess of 200k with no known wear issues. so I expect as others have said its a dry linkage issue, change the oil and then you can see if there's any crap comes out !
