Bonnet release mechanism V6
« on: 01 August 2013, 14:56:48 »

Some fellow OOFers may have a solution to this problem.

When pulling the bonnet release lever, the catch does not release the bonnet except if a colleague is pressing down on the front of the bonnet at the same time, when the bonnet releases fine.

I suspect it is related to the cable tension.

Has anyone any idea how to sort this out please?

A common problem first though check that there is not something under the bonnet like a left tool or the wrong size battery (too high) both will cause the symptom.
