Whilst the search for the elusive bonet strut clips continues,thought I would ask the local Vaux Dealership Parts Dept.They would know wouldnt they?

Get yourself to a local scrap yard. As someone suggested the other day, it's almost certain that the same clip is used on other models of Vauxhall ie Astra (but my sister-in-law's Astra just has the one on the bonnet)

The Omega's rear dampers' clips (on the boot) both look to be similar/same at the bonnet's damper clips

Hi Guys
been to local scrappy,no Omegas etc,took one off an old Astra and it didnt fit.
If I dont sort it over weekend,and I will try AndyC,then will buy those struts from you Rob (clips included!!! ),if you still have them.
Then I will have 2 struts to get rid of (clips not included )

unbelievable though,the clips can only be £1 each at the most!

As I explained to Sandboy via PM about this. If I or another breaker takes the clips off a pair o struts to send to him,we are then left with a useless pair of struts effectively.Might as well just send the struts.

Boot struts ain`t worth a toss. All mine get binned, never heard of one failing unlike the bonnet ones ( and boot sprung retaining clips are same as bonnet)

Im pretty sure Ive sold some tbh. I also have a feeling they re the same as bonnet struts,but Im not certain on that one without looking.
