Vauxhall on Trade Club  £20ish last time I bought them

TC pads are the best price/performance. Tried and tested, and will take some severe abuse (road use abuse, not track abuse).

Some say they are a bit wooden, but I've never been bothered by that. They do need a little heat in them for peak effectiveness though.

OE pads, approx £80 a set, are what GM fitted in the factory. Less dusty, more bite when cold.


Pattern pads for road use, IME, are universally shite. And I've tried many

Only use OE discs - pattern tend to warp!  Vx sell set front discs + pads for around £90 on TC

If you have a local TC dealer. Most have lost TC now

I did try it on in the local stealers sometime ago, said it can be done if I have the card No.

I thought rear pads were the same whether solid or vented discs

Yep its only the calipers, pins and springs that are different (plus of course the discs)

I didn't think about them as a kit

Nor did I - was just confirming all rear pads the same and highlighting those parts that differ
