Her name was Joy. She was, I believe, of Caribbean origin and quite a laugh on the phone. It took a couple of hours, but with some friendly banter and a lot of "I'll speak to my boss, boss" it all came good. 
Just mention BT Vision and Sky reps shit themselves! 
Brill, I will mention BT as I have looked into them. But how the heck did you manage to get your bill halfed???
Honestly, I do not know - I tried about 6 months ago for a discount and they processed my cancellation!

Of course, I phoned back the next day and cancelled the cancellation.
With the roll out of BT Vision, I think Sky are losing customers hand over fist. I personally like Sky, I've had mixed experiences with Customer Services and mixed experiences with their Engineers, but the product is fantastic.
I'll let someone else play Guinea Pig for BT vision, and if it proves to be good then (in 12months time) I'll change.
Good luck with your quest for cheaper bills. It is possible, but as said, very much depends on who you talk to, and I guess, how you ask them?
