Is that Triple QX 5-40 fully synth oil any good?

At £12.49 for 5 litres including P+P it might be worth a punt.

I'm now £27 the poorer. :-\

After a rush of blood to the head, I've treated Mrs Opti's 2003  Corsa C to Plugs x4, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, and a bottle of Turtle wax Ice car shampoo.

She's so lucky to have me. :)

Good price that, any dealer would have classed that as a full service and no doubt charged £300+

Any idea if the fuel filter is easy to change?. It came up as an advisory on the MOT, and is rusty as hell.

I think it may well be the original. :-\

Last time I had one to do, little fatty did mine. If it's anything like the Omega, there are these "special" set of pliers which make un-clipping the fuel hose a lot easier.

I'd pop on some eye protection, as I think it is very easy to have a nice petrol shower  :)

if you use a pair of grips either side of the filter on the flexible pipe, the petrol is contained in the filter until you drop the excess fuel into a container !

On the Corsa forum they say to be careful as the clips are easily broken. They also suggest it's best to disconnect the battery and remove the fuse from the petrol pump relay.
