Interparcel / Citylink
« on: 27 August 2013, 20:17:28 »

Or should I say shittylink, have joined the ever growing list of companies I will avoid in the future.
Got an alternator here which an OOFer needs tomorrow. Booked shittylink via Interparcel to collect it today, deliver it tomorrow. Weve stayed in all day waiting but did they turn up ? did they f&*!
If someone ever sets up a good reliable delivery service in this country, they will make a bloody fortune.Ive used all of them afaik, and they have all let me down at some time or other. Fackin useless retards. >:( >:(

Try My Hermes, they have loads of Parcels shops where you can just drop the stuff off after you have booked it online, ok so next day delivery is out but at least you nor hanging around for the door bell to go off. ;)

Tip for anyone using Parcel2go,and using Hermes on there Website, booking with Hermes directly    cost the same but you get better free Compensation with Hermes and a lot cheaper to up grade it. :y.

I gave up using ShittyLink a couple of years ago. They were just terrible, I mean really incredibly bad.

Been using Interlink since, and quite honestly I have had zero problems. Not one non-delivery, not one non-collection. I pay £8.50 per consignment up to 10Kg, then a bit more per Kg over that. But I do send around 10 consignments a week and print my own barcode address labels from their website. TNT are also fairly good, but VERY expensive, and their website booking process is a nightmare.

Interlink also have a system where the recipient gets an email or text message informing them of an approximate deliver time.

Oh yes, Hermes. They delivered a £600 piece of furniture here today. I was out walking the dog......so the brainless tossers left it at the front door and put a card through the front door to tell me that they had left it at the front door.  >:(
I have phoned debenhams to ask when it's being delivered, as I haven't seen it. ::)

All the stuff I send has to be signed for, think its a 30p extra cost, surely Debanens can aford that on a 600 quid item.  ::)

I might have made that sound worse than it was, it was self-assembly,in a box. But, then again, that's even easier for someone to just stop in a van and lob it in, which is what must have happened, cos I haven't seen it. ;D

Well, the story has a happy ending.Joshwyatt was the oofer who needed the alternator urgently,so he drove over to Essex to collect it this morning. I drove out to the M11/A120 junction (Birchanger services) to meet him,and he is a thouroughly  nice pleasant young man, as others who have previously met him have mentioned.
It was a pleasure to meet you Josh. :y Although I was slightly disappointed not to see the Bentley. ;D
It would be a bit pointless to burn £100 worth of petrol to collect an alternator I suppose. ::) ;D

I sent a parcel yesterday with Royal Mail.  It was a fairly big box about 40cm x 30cm x 30cm, but was very light as all it contained was a cowboy hat.

It was £9.80 first class recorded or £11.00 24 hour special delivery!!  :o  I was prepared for £6 or £7, so had a surprise!!  ::)

Having said that, it was duly delivered today!  :y
