Hi guys,

been so busy that I hadn't had a chance to sort my mates pas pump... but today I broke out the impact gun  8) and got the pulley off so I could access the bearings.... this is what I found...........

lots of grease missing and what is in there is gross  ;D

ive repacked with grease and thoroughly cleaned. couldn't see any bearing damage. hopefully this will fix it :)

Find some straws and go clutching.  ;D ;D

The amount of grease looks fine and if it was bearing related then the bearing would have play and be goosed hence bearing replacement being the only fix.....if it was that (And I doubt it would be).

bit stumped then. we've used 2 different valve things (just visible in the pic) and that didn't fix it. new belt. and theres not much else that's replaceable in the pump itself (took it all apart previously).

oh well  :) its only a 5 minute job to replace. ill chuck it on. if it remains unfixed then ill see for myself (from a learning perspective) that I wasn't right and get him referred to someone who knows what theyre doing  ;D ;D ;D

Lol, bearings are not supposed to be 100% packed with grease, the old rule of thumb was 30-50%
