Sorry, thinking aloud for Mrs TB, who is getting pee'd off with her incredibly slow 3GS ;D

Plus in a year or 2, I suspect I'll need a new one...

Been resisting the iGay movement ever since the Craple 3g, have a normal phone with proper buttons for making phone calls, anything else gets done on my Nokia N9 64gb which runs Linux Meego OS which is still a joy to hold and use, theres not much I cant do with it, and anything I cant I probably dont need.  ;)

If you liked Meego, have a look at Jolla.
According to mini me, its designed and built by ex nokia engineers who defected when Meego was scrapped :)

Yes, been looking at SailFish (Jolla) for a while now, the N9 will happily run it, its pretty much Meego 2 that will run its Own and Andriod Apps, just plucking the courage to Brick Port my Phone.  ::)

The Jolla Boys are doing really well since being shafted leaving Nokia, and have already got their own 4G Phone. the Jolla Team are small enough and hungry enough to get there market share, but more to the point thereon the same side as the millions of Ex Nokia Lovers who got dumped on by Nokia prior to getting into bed with Microsoft.

Microsoft must be kicking themselves as the new Nokia Win Mobile relationship isn't getting its forecasted market share, plus a lot of other Mobile Manufactures are closely watching Jolla Teams OS.

3 Network have already put the Jolla Phone in their mobile portfolio in Asia and Samsung are also looking into trials with the Jolla OS.

I wonder if its pay back time for MS, Anyone remember some time back when IBM said "Ok you Microsoft Boys can run along and do your own thing, we have all we need for now"

That's the jist of what mini me said Chris  :)

I believe he talks to them occasionally about various stuff but he has pretty much stopped writing apps at the moment. He did flirt with Blackberry but is now in his 2nd year of a painting and decorating course at collage so most of his time goes on that.
