Managed to get the S4 for my wife to replace the old N8 - the Samsunf smartswap software worked well so everything on N8 is now on S4.

Although we have clone phone so everything is backed up , I am currently sitting in front of a screen waiting for this Kies sync software to load for picture and music transfer and sync contacts with Outlook. Googled around and this software seems to have a very patchy history.

Any one used it?

Kies is a piece of shit, try My Phone Explorer if you want a "one stop" backup solution

Thanks Andy - the Kies driver reinstalled after almost 20 minutes and it is up and running but not sure about it. It seems to allow syncing of photos on pc to the phone but not the other way round. Contacts seems fine with Outlook.
