not many about????
« on: 13 September 2013, 14:57:34 »

Hi all,
just a quick thought, I have had my 2.6 cdx, since april this year, and in all my driving around Harrogate and round my work, I have only seen one more Omega. Question. are they all hibernating, or are they all south of leeds lol

Peter (the only Omega driver in a 15 mile radius of Harrogate ;D)

A fair few round this way, but mostly 4pots.

I keeps getting "don't see many of them about these days" comments. Along with an admiring look. Not sure if that omegas generally or the irmscher aspect if it though :-\

Barely see one a week on average around here, Cant even remember when i last saw a Carlton/Senator although do see the odd Lotus Carlton now and again and the odd VXR8/Monaro... Even noticed Vectras are becoming a rare sight compared when they where still in production. Mainly see Astra's, Corsa's, Focus's etc...

More and more getting scrapped mate ;)

Unfortunately true  :-\

I will be going part time next year as i will be 60, my 2.6 which is a great car will require a set of tyres & timing belt etc , even i am wondering is it worth spending any money on it, or should i just chance it till the belt or something major gives up & get something newer. It is a shame really as it is in excellent condition full history & garaged from new ..

Seem to be loads around the Sidcup/Dartford/Thurrock area as I see lots most days. Even last night, parked Thurrock Tesco carpark, I could spot 3 plus my estate.

I see 2 most days on the M25 near junction 2 going to work, plus a few others dotted around.
