New Series...
« on: 13 September 2013, 19:22:11 »

...of Wheeler Dealers begins next Tuesday at 9p.m.First up is a Lambourghini Uracco.I wonder what they'll find wrong with that to allow Mr.Brewer to buy it at a bargain price, but will only cost pence to correct[instead of potentially hundreds to sort]in order for him to flog it on for a daft profit?

Ive kind of lost interest in it now tbh. Buying car for £10k,spending another £3k to put them right and then selling them on for a £1k profit - its so contrived from start to finish. Im sure the buyers are members of the production crew.
Imo,the first few series were excellent, but its in cloud cuckoo land now.

The cost of labour on most of his projects would run into the thousands.

That reminds me of 1969 and a garage in Grove Park, South London, which had the latest Lamborghini in it's showroom - I assume the model before the one you mention - which impressed my boyfriend, my future husband, and somehow excited me!  The funny thing is now all I can visualize is toggle switches, and general naff finish, that you found on average sports cars of the time!  How it was ever worth the, well into, five figure price I seem to remember on the bonnet I will now never appreciate ::) ::) ::) :D :D :D ;)

Give me a 1968 Mustang Fastback, DB5, Ferrari, or Porche of the time anyday! :D :D :y

Espada or Miura I would think, Lizzie. The Miura came out in 66.....The Espada 68. :y :-* :-* :-*
