What the relative resistance of all  your glow plugs. I forget now what the codes were, but both on the Astra G TD of mine & that of my s-in-law's Astra H a code referring to glow plugs lead to me a failed glow plug.

Check to see if the resistance of all the glow plugs is more or less the same .... the one that isn't is the duff one!  :y :y

no idea on the other codes  ::) ::)

No, just stick a multimeter on resistance from the contact on top of them to earth (or for Mark zero volts - the block)  ;) ;) As said, you're looking for an odd man out reading of the four  :y

Be aware that sometimes these plugs tend to seize in the head :(

I'd also fully clean out the inlet system, to allow all the inlet sensors to work

Is there a correct procedure for this?

HID level sensor is upset. Sometimes it's as simple as the front sensor's arm has popped off

is the P1590 code a battery or alternator voltage issue? and the critical malfunction 2 is related to this

P0400 means maf sensor reading out of operable limits. Usually caused by an egr malfunction. Check vacuum rubbers.

P1590... check your alternator output voltage.

Just a quick question on this arm. Is it easy to see the arm on the headlight or am I looking at the fabled plastic adjusters that go
