306 internal fan not working?
« on: 22 September 2013, 16:32:40 »

As well as the omega I have this little 306 xsi which I'm going to sell

Only problem I have is that the internal fan doesn't work. When at speed you can feel the heat coming through the vents so I know the temperature control is ok.

Any ideas or experience with these anyone.

Dan :)

Could well be the motor itself, easily accessed from below glovebox, resistor pack also fails but normally you get full speed but not the intermediates when that happens :y

Fan motor has red and black wires going into unit, red is ignition on live and switching is done via the black wire,if you have live feed and earth the black wire to ground the fan should run at full tilt :y,if yours has the variable speed fan rather than 3 or 4 set speeds then the resistor is in the motor casing
