Big thanks to Martin42...
« on: 30 September 2013, 10:42:26 »

aka magic tree. aka green cabby. aka mad mech. lol

got the heads on. torquing with the degree wheel on the pass. side was a b*tch. but not as much as those two stuck lifters! martin has unbelievable patience. and a chisel and hammer and two hours later they were out.

massive thanks mate :)

got some metal shavings around the valve but this was xcompletely unavoidable. cleaned up as best i could.

hopefully this wont hinder too much when it starts up.

cam shafts....

am i right in thinking i fit the shaft. do up the bearing caps (inc green snot on end one). fit the cam seal. fit the rear timing cover. then fit sprockets???

A light lube of the cam seal first, I alway fit the cam seal to the cam first rather than knocking it in after fitting of the bearing caps.

Make sure you get the right cams in the right places!

lol thanks mark. yeah ive got that process nailed. making sure the number on the sprocket hole lines up with the notch on the camshaft...then bring it round and lock in place.... thwen once all in crank to TDC from its current 60 degree BTDC mark :):):)

so i'm to use the green snot around the perimiter of where the cam seal lives also... as well as at the front of the first cam cap? :)
