Windscreen has long crack low driver's side. Insurer Admiral have £75 excess on windscreen claims. Is this the best path to follow?

I had a screen replaced by a private mobile man cheaper than your excess. Might be worth shopping around

£75 is the going rate, worth asking who they get to do the job.

My 2.2 LPG is on it's 3rd screen, twice it's cracked on the passenger side. Each time Autowindscreens have been out, they have done great job each time.

Few members here have had big issues with other companies, RAC windscreens for example

a claim for windscreen should not affect your NCD so go for a good quality screen - you still only payout £75

Not sure, never saw the wrapping, maybe Bosch?

Either way appears ok, no wind noise or anything. Still silent at motorway cruise

To some degree I think it depends on the Omega model and therefore the spec of the screen
I've had a screen fitted to Miggy some time ago which turned out to be a cheap after market replacement
Miggy was an Elite model
I did insist on a genuine GM replacement which incidentaly came from Germany
I understood at that time none of the screens with the higher spec were stocked in the UK
It was of course an insurance claim as the proper screen on enquirery was expensive

Some Insurers skip that year for your what would have been another years NCD added on at the end of the year with Windcsreen Claims.
